How does this Campaign differ from past ones?

This is not about duplicating what others are doing. What we are trying to do is harness the combined strengths of everyone working in this field. Peace groups have led the way, but others, not only those with a focus on reconciliation, have made a significant contribution:-

For example - at community level (Habitat for Humanity)

at trade union level

at interchurch level (Reconciliation and Peace Building Groups)

in schools (EMU)

private sector and other social partners

people in the world of sports and the arts

They all have recognised that an improved quality of life for us and our children can only be built on peace. This in turn has to be underpinned by political and economic stability.
